THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
I believe in the absolute authority of the Holy Scriptures of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments. I believe the Holy Scriptures to be the verbally and plenarily inspired Word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, infallible and God breathed.(2 Tim. 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:20,21; Matt. 5:18; John 16:12,13)
I believe that the Holy Scriptures should be interpreted Literally, Historically, and Grammatically which leads me to be Dispensational, Pre-tribulation, and Pre-millennial in my Eschatology. (1 Thess. 4:13-18; Zech. 14:4-11)
THE GOD HEAD
I believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections (Deut. 6:4; 2 Cor. 13:14)
THE PERSON AND WORK OF CHRIST
I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, so that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men (1 John 1:1,2,14; Luke 1:35)
I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; and that our justification is made sure by His literal physical resurrection from the dead (Rom. 3:24,25; 1 Pet. 2:24; Eph. 1:7; 1 Pet. 1:3-5)
I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to Heaven, and is now exalted at the right hand of God the Father, where as our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate. (Acts. 1:9,10; Heb. 7:25; 9:24; Rom. 8:34; 1 John 2:1,2).
I believe that Christ is coming back for His bride the church before the seven years of tribulation and at the end of the tribulation that He will literally establish His kingdom for a thousand years which is His Millennial Kingdom. After a final battle and the Great White Throne Judgment we will enter the Eternal State. (1 Thess. 4:13-18; Zech. 14:4-11; Rev. 19:11-16; 20:1-6; 1 Thess. 1:10; 5:9; Rev. 3:10)
THE PERSON AND WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
I believe that the Holy Spirit is the person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and that He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling them and sealing them unto the day of redemption (John 16:8-11; 2 Cor. 3:6; 1 Cor. 12:12-14; Rom. 8:9; Eph. 1:13,14).
I believe that He is the Divine Teacher & Comforter who guides believers into all truth; and that it is the privilege and duty of all the saved to be filled with the Spirit (John 16:13; 1 John 2:20,27; Eph. 5:18)
I believe that the Holy Spirit is sovereign in the bestowment of all His gifts; and that these gifts are sufficient for the perfecting of the saints today; and that speaking in tongues and the working of the signs and miracles gradually ceased as the New Testament scriptures were completed, leading to the maturity of the Church. (1 Cor. 12:4-11; 2 Cor. 12:12; Eph 4:7-12)
THE TOTAL DEPRAVITY OF MAN
I believe that man is made in the image of God, but that in Adam’s sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature and became alienated from God; and that man is totally depraved, and of himself, utterly unable to remedy his lost condition (Gen. 1:27; Rom. 3:22,23; 5:12; Eph. 2:1-3, 12)
I believe that Salvation is the free gift of God brought to man solely by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins. (Eph. 2:8-10; John 1:12; Eph. 1:7; 1 Pet. 1:18,19)
I believe that repentance from sin and a sincere love for the Lord are the evidence of genuine Biblical faith. (John 15:1-27)
I believe that repentance from sin does not stop at salvation but is continuous in a Christian’s life as the Holy Spirit enlightens and sanctifies us through God’s Word to produce in us Christ-likeness. (2Pet.1)
I believe that the Church, which is the body and espoused Bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born- again believers of this present age. (Eph. 1:22, 23; 5:25-27; 1 Cor. 12:12-14; 2 Cor. 11:2)
I believe that the birth of the Church began at Pentecost and will end at the Rapture which can happen at any moment. I believe in the establishment and continuance of local Churches is clearly taught and defined in the New Testament Scriptures (Acts. 14:27; 20:17, 28-32; 1 Tim. 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-11)
I believe in the autonomy of the local Church free from any external authority or control; and that the Church ordinances of water baptism and the Lord’s supper as a scriptural means of testimony for the Church in this age. (Acts 13:1-4; 15:19-31; 20:28; 1 Cor. 11:23-26; Matt. 28:19-20)
THE SECOND COMING AND MILLENNIAL REIGN (Adopted from John MacArthur’s Grace to You http:// gty.org)
I believe that, after the tribulation period, Christ will come to earth to occupy the throne of David (Matt. 25:31; Luke 1:31-33; Acts 1:10,11; 2:29,30) and establish His messianic kingdom for a thousand years on the earth (Revelation 20:1-7). During this time the resurrected saints will reign with Him over Israel and all the nations of the earth (Ezekiel 37:21-28; Daniel 7:17-22; Revelation 19:11-16). This reign will be preceded by the overthrow of the Antichrist and the False Prophet, and by the removal of Satan from the world (Daniel 7:17-27; Rev. 20:1-7).
I believe that the kingdom itself will be the fulfillment of God’s promise to Israel (Isa. 65:17-25; Ezekiel 37:21-28; Zech. 8:1-17) to restore them to the land which they forfeited through their disobedience (Deut. 28:15-68). The result of their disobedience was that Israel was temporarily set aside (Matt. 21:43; Rom. 11:1-26) but will again be awakened through repentance to enter into the land of blessing (Jeremiah 31:31-34; Ezekiel 36:22-32; Rom. 11:25-29).
I believe that this time of our Lord's reign will be characterized by harmony, justice, peace, righteousness, and long life (Isa. 11:1-16; 65:17-25; Ezekiel 36:33-38), and will be brought to an end with the release of Satan (Rev. 20:7).
